According to their website the NEPTUNE project brings together the expertise of 8 clusters, 2 cluster and entrepreneurship support organisations, 1 engineer school and 1 consultant company from 7 European countries: France, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain and Sweden.

NEPTUNE stands for: New Cross Sectoral Value Chains Creation across Europe Facilitated By Clusters for SMEs' innovation in Blue Growth is an innovation action project supported by the European Commission and its Horizon 2020 programme under the call for proposal INNOSUP-1-2015 Cluster facilitated projects for new value chains.

 

The project represents an opportunity for Small and Medium Enterprises, Entrepreneurs and Would-be-Entrepreneurs who are active in the following sectors:

 

* Water

* Maritime

* Aerospace

* ICT & Microelectronics

* Agriculture

* Logistics

* Creative industries

* Energy and Mobility sectors 

 

Presumably aerospace is to do with drones mapping and satellites. Help is by way of direct financial support vouchers of up to €60,000 and access to a wide range of professional coaching and mentoring services to develop innovative technologies, services and products in the Blue Growth Sector. The first call attracted 80 applications from 8 countries.

 

The NEPTUNE project sets out to achieve the following specific objectives:

To enhance the development across Europe of new value chains in the Blue Growth industries through a systematic approach providing entrepreneurship and innovation support to individual and groups of SMEs in the three target areas.


* To support the creation of fertile regional ecosystems (Smart Specialization Strategies) that provide the framework conditions for supporting and funding the emergence of collaboration actions between SMEs and between the cluster partners.


* To support the development of large-scale demonstrators for Blue Growth.


* To foster the creation or the improvement of market ready technologies, products (goods and services) or the improvement of production processes with the reduction of raw material consumption


* To offer SMEs the opportunity to extend their markets worldwide.


* To deliver a methodology for facilitating the identification of market trends and project ideas emergence in an inter-cluster, cross-border and cross-sectoral collaboration driven context.

 

 

NEPTUNE BOARD

FRESH (2nd) CALL 2017

 

Following the first B2B online meetings, NEPTUNE project partners are organising a second online International Brokerage Event (IBE). This is scheduled for June the 8th 2017 from 9:00 to 17:30 CET in support of the NEPTUNE Call for Expression of Interest addressed to SMEs and would-be entrepreneurs.

 

This event will be preceded by a Webinar on NEPTUNE opportunities held on 1st of June 2017 from 10:00 to 11:30 CET.

 

 

 

PROJECT AIMS - The overall project’s objective is to foster the development of Blue Growth industries in Europe and beyond.

NEPTUNE aims at developing new cross-sectoral and cross-border industrial value-chains, including in particular SMEs, to foster the development of Blue Growth industries. This development is based on the construction of new value chains and the reconfiguration of existing ones driven by the integration of new technologies and know-how between Water, Aerospace, ICT and Agriculture cluster actors/industries.
