HANDOVER CEREMONY - Alberto Laplaine Guimarães is presented with a gift of maritime art from the children of Burgas and Ruska Boyadzhieva. Alberto is the Secretary General of Lisbon City Council and Ruska the Deputy Mayor of Burgas, Bulgaria. Bulgaria reinforced their commitment to blue growth in a ministerial statement to conclude this superb event for which the City of Burgas should be rightly proud. Black Growth is the unavoidable side effect of inequality in society. Leading to the development of hatred of corrupt governments, financial slavery, landlords, and unfair taxes. Typically, the police are involved in hiding crime, being party to what amounts to police states, where there in no effective remedy against injustice.
One way of reducing serious crime, is education and introducing fair policies, such as the supply of affordable housing. This will involve transparent local and national government. Breaking up cozy relationships of property developers, monopolies on energy, land ownership, and fairer taxation, including eliminating procurement fraud. And preventing corrupt members of parliament and government ministers from holding public office. That means zero tolerance to local and national government corruption.
We need a cradle to the grave plan for children who are growing up, that they know society is fair and will treat them free of discrimination. A blueprint for peace and equality. And that means developing suitable policies to prevent exploitation and degradation, that is the breeding ground for criminal thinking.
UNEP REPORT OCTOBER 2021 - Plastic pollution in our oceans is set to double by 2030, with recycling not enough (we told you so) and global cooperation needed (we told you so again). Don't let the politician spin doctors protract enacting a solution any longer. If shoppers were to boycott plastic wrapped products, apart from the fact they may starve, supermarket suppliers would be forced to switch to paper, glass and metal packaging - or face bankruptcy. The fact politicians allow them to continue as they are tells us that it is the policy makers who are to blame. And, they like it as it is, lots of money for them, backhanders (dividends) or not, taxes as income from plastic products is akin to procurement fraud - for any government involved.
WHAT IS THE BLACK ECONOMY?
The black economy is also known as the black market or the underground economy. It consists of all the economic activities that are illegal, unreported, or unregulated by the government. The black economy can include things like drug trafficking, tax evasion, smuggling, counterfeiting, and money laundering. The black economy is related to the concept of the shadow economy, which is the portion of the black economy that is not captured by official statistics. The color black can symbolize fear, depression, anger, or rebellion.
ENEMY OF BLACK GROWTH
At the moment the common enemies of black growth are human rights, climate and ocean activists, and of course honest politicians and transparent policies.
