The orange economy refers to the creative economy, or the production of goods and services that are based on intellectual property, technology, and cultural inspiration. Some examples of the orange economy are arts, media, design, software, and tourism. The color orange symbolizes creativity and innovation. River cruises are classed as part of the orange economy. Sustainable river cruises, such as using solar or hydrogen powered boats, ferries or ships, is one of the United Nations agendas, and of course, being on water; blue growth.
The River Tiber is the third-longest river in Italy and the longest in Central Italy, rising in the Apennine Mountains in Emilia-Romagna and flowing 406 km (252 mi) through Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio, where it is joined by the River Aniene, to the Tyrrhenian Sea, between Ostia and Fiumicino. It drains a basin estimated at 17,375 km2 (6,709 sq mi). The river has achieved lasting fame as the main watercourse of the city of Rome, which was founded on its eastern banks.
The river rises at Mount Fumaiolo in Central Italy and flows in a generally southerly direction past Perugia and Rome to meet the sea at Ostia. Known in ancient times as Flavus (Latin for 'the Blond'), in reference to the yellowish colour of its water, the Tiber has advanced significantly at its mouth, by about 3 km (2 mi), since Roman times, leaving the ancient port of Ostia Antica 6 kilometres (4 miles) inland. However, it does not form a proportional delta, owing to a strong north-flowing sea current close to the shore, due to the steep shelving of the coast, and to slow tectonic subsidence.
All our oceans, seas and rivers are now extremely polluted. This is partly to do with our obsession with single use plastic, and partly to do with our reliance on fossil fuels for marine transport, mostly subsidized, in denial of alternative renewables like solar and green hydrogen, or green methanol clean energy.

The
Elizabeth Swann, is a Queen of the Nile themed ocean and river
cruiser, that is powered by solar panels and hydrogen. Solar
assistance is not needed if using green hydrogen, provided
there is sufficient bunkering on the rivers, or at ports, etc.
Imagine cruising the river Po, or any of the most
beautiful European rivers, in a ferry based on similar
ecological designs.
